Dr. M. Scott Vandiver MD,PhD

Dr. Vandiver completed his M.D.,Ph.D. and residency at the Johns Hopkins Hospital and his critical care fellowship at the University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA). He has been a faculty member at UCLA for the past 5 years where his clinical work has centered on cardiothoracic intensive care and neuroanesthesiology. His research work focuses on perioperative neurocognitive disorders, specifically in high risk populations such as lung and heart transplant. He has multiple publications investigating the underpinning mechanisms of neurodegenerative diseases with over 1700 citations in total and is focused on the use of advanced imaging techniques to investigate structural brain alterations found in heart and lung transplant patients

Prof. Vladimir Cerny
Professor, Anaesthesiology and Intensive Care, Charles University, Prague, Czech Republic
Vladimir Cerny is Professor of Anaesthesiology and Intensive Care at Charles University, Prague, Czech Republic. He obtained both his medical degree and PhD at Charles University, where he also completed his residency in the Department of Anaesthesiology and Intensive Care. His current positions include Chairman and Professor of Anaesthesiology, Perioperative Medicine and Intensive Care at J.E. Purkinje University, Masaryk Hospital, Usti nad Labem, Czech Republic, Professor and Senior Researcher at University Hospital Hradec Kralove, Czech Republic, and Adjunct Professor of Anaesthesiology at Dalhousie University, Halifax, Canada.
Prof. Cerny’s clinical interests include airway management in perioperative medicine and critical care, coagulation management. Currently, the main field of his experimental/clinical research is related to microcirculation and glycocalyx. He serves in several professional bodies, both nationally (currently as a President of the Czech Society of Anesthesiology and Intensive Care) and internationally (e.g. member of the European Board of Anesthesiology, ESAIC Guidelines Committee and ESAIC Ethics committee). Prof. Cerny has published numerous papers in peer-reviewed journals and several textbooks at a national level. He has also coauthored all European guidelines on major trauma bleeding since 2007. Recently, he also served as a chairman of scientific committee for the World Congress of Anesthesiology held in Prague, Czech Republic, 2021. During COVID-19 he has served as a deputy of Ministry of Health of the Czech Republic and as a National Coordinator for Intensive Care.

Dr. Galdy Wafie

Galdy Wafie has Completed his Anesthesiologist and intensive care title in 2022 from Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU), Medan, Indonesia. He is now a non-permanent lecturer at Anesthesiologist department in Medical Faculty Universitas Sumatera Utara, also a secretary in Medan Indonesian Doctor Association (IDI). He also one of administrator in North Sumatra Anesthesiologist Association (PERDATIN). He interested in Regional Anesthesia and Critical Care.

Dr. Dusooma Abdul Razzag
Chief Surgical Officer, Senior Consultant, and Head of the Department in Anesthesia at ADK Hospital, Male’, Maldives
Dr. Dusooma Abdul Razzag, a leading force in the field of anesthesiology and critical care in the Maldives. Dr. Razzag currently holds several prestigious positions, including President of the Maldivian Anesthesiologists Association and Vice President of the Society of Critical Care and Emergency Medicine in the Maldives. She also serves as the Chief Surgical Officer, Senior Consultant, and Head of the Department in Anesthesia at ADK Hospital, Male’, Maldives.
A trailblazer in her field, Dr. Dusooma has been pioneering cardiac surgery anaesthesia in the Maldives since 2018. She underwent an observership in Labour Analgesia at North Middlesex University Hospital in London in March 2019.and initiated Labour Analgesia services at ADK Hospital the same year.
Dr. Dusooma is also a certified Diving Medical Officer, having trained at the Hyperbaric and Diving Medicine Centre at Singapore General Hospital. In July 2023, she completed an online fellowship in Pain Medicine from the Aesculap Academy Daradia.
In addition to her clinical roles, Dr. Dusooma is a dedicated educator, serving as a lecturer in Anesthesiology at the Maldives National University. She has contributed to academic research as a journal reviewer for the Journal of the Society of Anesthesiologists of Nepal from 2019 to 2021.
With her extensive experience and unwavering dedication, Dr. Dusooma Abdul Razzag continues to shape the future of anesthesiology and critical care in the Maldives.

Dr. Natasa Kovac

Natasa has completed her M.D. and PhD at School of Medicine University of Zagreb, Croatia. She is a Senior Consultant at UHC Sestre milosrdince, Zagreb. She is active member of European Society of Anaesthesiology and Intensive Care (ESAIC) and Secretary of Croatian Society of Anaesthesiology, Reanimathology and Intensive medicine. Natasa was ESAIC Council member for Croatia for past 5 years. She participated as a lecturer at international professional meetings. Dr Kovac participated in writing several types of textbooks and professional literature, with WOS H-index 5. She is a reviewer in the medical journal PLOS ONE, Medicine.

Dr. Ankur Khandelwal

Dr. Simant Kumar Jha

Dr. Simant Kumar Jha, DA, DNB, PGDHM, PDCR, EPHM (IIM Indore), FIPM, CCMLE, FCCM (USA), FICCM is the Associate Director, Department of Critical Care Medicine at PSRI Multispeciality Hospital, Delhi. He is a certified FCCS Consultant, FCCS-OB Consultant, FCCS Surgical Course Director, and ATLS Instructor. Dr. Jha serves as a reviewer for the Indian Journal of Critical Care Medicine, Cureus Journal, IJA, and sits on the editorial board of JSSRP. He has over 20 publications and regularly contributes as a speaker, panelist, and chairperson in national and international conferences. He was an abstract reviewer and RST moderator at the 2025 Critical Care Congress, Orlando, and Criticare 2023. He is the Chief Editor of the ISCCM Trauma Manual and a recipient of the ISCCM Presidential Citation (2019) and SNCC Appreciation Award (2023). He holds FCCM and FICCM fellowships and has been a DrNB Critical Care teacher for the past two years.

Dr. Terrance Khastgir, M.D.

Dr. Terrance Khastgir started his journey in medicine in India where he graduated from medical college with distinction and secured 3rd position in the University. He did his residency in Internal medicine from prestigious John’s Hopkins and Sinai Hospital program in Baltimore Maryland. As a resident he participated in research projects and worked under the supervision of Chief of Cardiology. He presented two papers in World Electrophysiology Conference held in Washington DC. He got the best resident award for his outstanding performance as resident. While he was working as a resident he was appointed as Clinical Instructor in Medicine at John’s Hopkins University. He got the YOUNG INVESTIGATOR AWARD from American College of chest physicians for his research work. He joined University of Oklahoma to peruse his fellowship in cardiovascular medicine and Electrophysiology. During his training he continued to work under the supervision of faculty and published original papers and case reports. Upon graduation he joined Integris Baptist Medical Center which is a tertiary care center in Oklahoma City with robust cardiology services. He actively participated in research projects pertaining to device therapies including Leadless Pacemakers, ICDS, BIVICDS, Subcutaneous ICDS and Cardiac Contractility Modulation devices. He has been presenting his research work in various National and International Cardiology meetings. He has also worked as a consultant for several device companies. Over the years he has developed keen interest in device therapy for various cardiovascular diseases.

Dr. Michael Sutherland

Michael Sutherland is a senior Intensivist at Coffs Harbour Hospital, New South Wales, Australia. He is a graduate of Adelaide University, and has worked for Britain’s NHS. He has more than 30 years of clinical experience in rural and regional Australian medical practice, including work in an indigenous community, work for the Royal Flying Doctor Service, and work in the Australian Antarctic Territory. He has multiple publication credits in the field of organ donation research. He has published a novel in the genre of historical fiction. He has finished in five marathons. He is currently completing university studies in French language and culture and also astrophysics. He has a long term partner, who is a Frenchwoman. He is a father of four, and grandfather of three. He currently divides his time between East Coast Australia and the south of France.

Dr. Siva Padmanabhan Sivakumar, MD, FCCP, FACP

Dr Sivakumar hails from a family of doctors, that steered him in pursuing a Medical career from his childhood days. After medical school training in Thanjavur, India he went to England for additional training prior to post graduate education in the USA. He did his Internal Medicine Residency in New York, then PULMONARY and CRITICAL CARE Fellowship in New York and Texas leading to triple American Board certifications. He has been a Pulmonologist- Intensivist for 24 years with wide experience in inpatient and outpatient services, multiple subspecialty high acuity ICUs , served in more than 50 hospitals spanning 13 states in the United States. He was an active frontline ICU doctor during the COVID pandemic traveling to various states to fill the physician void in needy hospitals. He has chaired and lectured in international conferences, published in prestigious journals and takes pride in teaching the budding generation of health care professionals.
He has special interests in ARDS, POCUS, and embraces New technology as they evolve. He is well versed in Palliative care medicine for those in need at their appropriate time. He holds Membership and Fellowship in several acclaimed national and international organisations.
His new interest now spans into LIFESTYLE MEDICINE to address the burden of chronic diseases impacting the patient, their family and the community at large and worsening the health care crisis in America

Dr. Usha Gurunathan
Senior anaesthesiologist, Prince Charles Hospital, Brisbane ; Senior lecturer, The University of Queensland, Brisbane, Australia
Dr. Usha Gurunathan is a senior anaesthesiologist at the Prince Charles Hospital in Brisbane and a senior lecturer at The University of Queensland, Brisbane, Australia. She is also qualified in clinical epidemiology and certified in health informatics. Dr. Gurunathan leads research in her department with over 40 publications, an h-index of 17 and several research grants to her credit. During her PhD, she investigated the epidemiology, pharmacology and preventative strategies for thromboembolic complications after major lower limb orthopaedic surgery. In 2019, Dr. Gurunathan established a patient-centred multidisciplinary prehabilitation program called SurgiFIT at The Prince Charles Hospital in 2019, benefiting approximately 200 general and cardiac surgical patients so far.

Prof. Dr. Ahmed Fouad is a Senior Consultant and Professor of Cardiac Surgery at Ain Shams University, Cairo, Egypt. He is a Member of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, UK, and a Fellow of Dalhousie University, Canada.
Currently serving as the Head of the Cardiac Surgery Department at Elaraby Hospital, Egypt, Prof. Dr. Fouad has made significant contributions to the field through his research and numerous publications in international journals. He is also an active reviewer for several esteemed medical journals.
In addition to his clinical and academic roles, he is a frequent speaker at international conferences, sharing his expertise with the global medical community. He is currently Head of Emergency and Critical Care Department in a 635 bedded Shree Birendra Army Hospital in Kathmandu, Nepal which is a teaching hospital of Nepalese Army Institute of Health Sciences (NAIHS).
He has more than 20 papers published in various journals which include original articles, case reports and review article in wide spread field of Medicine. He has done few oral and poster presentations in National and International conferences. He is also Head of Disaster Response Management Cell (DRMC) in a military hospital in Kathmandu.

He has been awarded the young investigator award from the American College of Chest Physicians. He participates in ongoing research projects involving cardiac-assistive devices. Dr. Eman Ibrahim El-Desoki Mahmoud Ghonimi, is working in the National Hepatology& Tropical Medicine Research Institute (NHTMRI), GOTHI, Cairo; Egypt as a fellow & head of the intensive care department since 2017 till recent. She is the head of the clinical nutrition team in NHTMRI in 2022. She is a national coordinator of GOTHI-ICUs in Egypt since August 2023 till recent. She is SCOPE Certified by the World Obesity Federation in 2023. She is a Sonoschool instructor for point of care ultrasound (POCUS), an instructor in HMIMMS since 2023 and Major Incident Medical Management and Support (MIMMS) since 2022, an Instructor in the American safety and health institute since 2022, an international trainer in the European Resuscitation Council & Egyptian Resuscitation council for basic, immediate, advanced life support, European Trauma course since 2015, and European Pediatric Advanced Life Support since 2022. She is a trainer & has had a membership in Emergency Neurological Life Support since 2018. She completed her Doctorate degree in Intensive Care Medicine in 2016 from Ain-Shams University, graduated of European Diploma of Enteral & Parenteral Nutrition in 2013, and was certified as a fitness nutrition specialist by the American council on exercise in 2020. Patrick Honoré, graduated from Louvain Medical School as MD (1988), Specialist in Internal Medicine (1993), Intensive Care Specialist (1994) and Nephrologist (1995). During his internship, he completed more than 2 1/2 years specialisation in Nephrology and Dialysis. For almost 5 years, he received ICU training abroad (United Kingdom, Australia and USA). Pr Honoré is Board member of the Belgian Intensive Care Society and closely involved in the Nephrology section of the European Society of Intensive Care Medicine. He is also a distinguished member or consultant of many scientific committees and decision-making organizations dedicated to diagnosis, treatment, and research in the field of acute kidney injury in the critically ill. Pr Honoré authored or co-authored more than 500 peer-reviewed papers ,more than 750 abstracts and more than 85 book chapters . He was also editor of three books dedicated to Critical Care Nephrology.He has been invited as a speaker at more than 750 national and international conferences in almost 100 different countries. He acts as reviewer for more than 45 international journals, including top-ranking journals in the field of critical care medicine and nephrology. He is a member of the editorial board of several 25 high-standard journals. He is also Editor-In-Chief of the Journal of Translational Internal Medicine (open access) since 2013 (in pubmed since 2016), editor-in-chief of Journal of Translational Critical Care Medicine & Journal of Translational Kidney Research since 2015 (open access too). In the ICU department, he leads the Critical Care Nephrology Platform which incorporates intensivists, nephrologists and nurses dedicated to daily education, research and treatment of acute kidney injury. In particular, he directs and organizes continuous renal replacement therapy on a 24/24; 7/7 on-call basis. He has also start a CRRT program using citrate dedicated to small children (less than 10 kg) in the UZB -PICU since 2013. After a faculty fellowship in critical care, she served as her department’s Director of Critical Care Education and their Associate Residency Program Director. She is currently Faculty in the Department of Emergency Medicine at the Durham VA Medical Center in North Carolina.
Her career has been rooted in education, trainee development, and mentorship. Her dedication and expertise has also been nationally recognized. She was awarded the Dr. Joseph and Rae Brown award for her SCCM chapter contributions as well as the American Medical Association’s Women’s Mentoring Award in 2008. Given her prominence in the field, Dr. Bailey serves as an Oral Board Examiner for the American Board of Emergency Medicine.
Volunteering remains an important part of Dr. Bailey’s career and her interests in the management of injury and critical illness span the globe. She was an important contributor and an international instructor of the Comprehensive Trauma Life Course for India as part of her work for the International Trauma Anesthesia and Critical Care Society.

She did her Pain Medicine residency from Federal University of Sao Paulo in 2010. She works as a clinician specialized in pain since 2011. She is a Ph.D. student since 2017. She is a Member of D&I (Diversity and Inclusion) Committee of SNACC (Society for Neuroscience in Anesthesiology and Critical Care) since 2019. She is the Coordinator of the first neuroanesthesiology specialization in Brazil (began in 2021).

Dr. Rosenblatt is an assistant professor of anesthesiology and critical care medicine and neurology at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and serves as director of the neurosurgical anesthesia fellowship. Following residency training in anesthesiology, Dr. Rosenblatt completed dual fellowships in neuroanesthesia and neurocritical care at Johns Hopkins. She also completed a research fellowship, earning a Master of Health Science in Clinical Investigation at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. Dr. Rosenblatt’s research interests include cerebral autoregulation monitoring to improve outcomes from sepsis.
